GK Foundation Distributes Frozen Food Aid to Orphans and Social Foundations
JAKARTA — GK Foundation, in collaboration with GK Group, has once again demonstrated its dedication to social welfare through the distribution of frozen food packages to a number of social foundations and orphanages across the Jabodetabek area. The initiative stands as a concrete expression of social care, while also serving as a moment to strengthen unity and togetherness amid diversity.
In his opening remarks, Bhaskara Ruswidyawan, Chief Executive of GK Foundation, shared that the program was inspired by a series of recent interfaith celebrations, including Chinese New Year, Ramadan, Nyepi, Eid al-Fitr, and Easter. These moments of collective joy were seen as the ideal backdrop for spreading goodwill and positive energy throughout the community.
“Through this initiative, we hope that the assistance provided goes beyond fulfilling basic food needs, we want it to bring joy and motivation for the children as they face each day and strive toward a better future.” said Bhaskara.
The aid consisted of ready-to-consume food products, safe, practical, and immediately usable by recipients. Distribution was carried out symbolically with representatives from five beneficiary organizations: Yayasan Al-Aqmal, Yayasan Kampung Qur’an Manggarai, Panti Asuhan Parapatan, Rumah Yatim Laznas Kemang, and Yayasan Bhakti Luhur.
Simon Subrata, Senior Partner at GK Group, also delivered an inspiring message to the children present, encouraging them not to be discouraged by limitations. He emphasized that every individual has an equal opportunity to achieve a better future, as long as they pursue it with sincerity and dedication.

Representatives from the attending foundations expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the attention and support received. They noted that the initiative goes beyond material assistance, it reinforces core values of humanity, tolerance, and social responsibility for the children in their care.
The event concluded with a symbolic handover ceremony and a group photo session, capturing the spirit of togetherness between GK Foundation, GK Group, and all participating organizations. Through this program, GK Foundation hopes to continue contributing to sustainable social impact and expanding the reach of its assistance to more communities in need.
